Looks like Uncharted 4 will be Sony’s next big PC game

Uncharted 4

Following the likes of Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn, it looks like Sony’s next PS4-to-PC port will be Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, according to some investor documents.

In a presentation released for Sony’s Investor Relations Day overnight, the company appears to let slip that Uncharted 4 will be heading to PC to join other PlayStation properties that have made the jump lately.

The game appears on a slide titled “More PC releases planned” alongside Days Gone, which came out on PC last week (though it wasn’t quite as popular as Horizon Zero Dawn on the platform). There’s no official word from Sony about this port at the time of writing, but perhaps we’re going to hear more about it during today’s Horizon Forbidden West-focused State of Play.

Maybe a second life on PC will add to the 37 million people that have already downloaded the game.

Elsewhere in the presentation, Sony outlined plans to strengthen its user base from 160 million to a massive 1 billion, citing investment in PlayStation Now as a key way of attracting new users to the platform.

“Sony intends to continue investing in or partnering with external studios in addition to investing in its in-house studios to enhance its software offering,” says the presentation, suggesting that the company is gearing up to rival Microsoft and the Xbox Game Pass.

PlayStation seems keen on expanding into other areas, and making games as widely available as possible; its expansion into PC, alongside its focus on growing PS Now, suggests that – despite the impressive sales of the PS5 – the company is looking away from just consoles for its future business.
